The tenor with bohemian roots living in Zurich was born and grew up in Cologne. Since the age of 16, he has played and sang in various ensembles. In 1990 he moved to Switzerland, where in 2000 he received a scholarship for classical vocal training from Yvonne Zollikofer, the founder of the Zurich Opera School.
